Awesome!

Santa brought this awesome book to our 5 yr old twins for Christmas this year. They are into everything ocean...the creepier the better. This book covers a range of topics: The Sea You Can See (nice use of homophones), Buried Treasure, Tropical Waters, Cold as Ice, Deeper and Deeper, On the Move, and A Sea of Change. Different ideas and living creatures (land and sea) are introduced as they relate to the topic pages. The "Cold As Ice" and the "Deeper and Deeper" sections are especially cool because they have fold out pages for added effect. For our boys, we can't go wrong with anything that includes gulper eels, angler fishAnimal Planet Deep Sea Exploration Playset, stingrays and jellies. This book has all of those and so much more. The information level is varied - ranging from basic facts to scientific names - making this a book that will remain useful for several years. The boys love it so much that they asked if we could donate a copy to their classroom!

There is so much happening on the pages of this book that it almost seems animated! The pictures are very colorful and lively. If your child is a fan of lift the flap books, this is one s/he will love interacting with!

Big hit with my 3-year-old!

My son ADORES this book. Especially the creepy creatures shown on the deep-sea (abyss) page--he's memorized all their names and is now obsessed with sea creatures and wants to grow up to be a diver. This book has had quite an impact!
